Tamarind, the added-fee Asian restaurant that shares real estate with Nami Sushi, is located at the very aft of the ship. The Ocean bar is effectively the “atrium bar” and has a nice lounge area. As with some of the other bars on the ship, the bar itself isn’t terribly inviting, but the lounge space is a nice place for a quiet drink during the day. Even in the lower parts of the ship, there are fantastic views from nearly all the entertainment and dining areas via floor-to-ceiling windows.. And finally, the Music Walk entertainment complex has revolutionized Holland America ships. Those seeking music at night have a wealth of choices, from the dueling pianos at Billboard Live to the Rolling Stone Rock Room to B.B. King’s/The Lincoln Center, which serves as both a classical and Blues/R&B venue.

The new MS Rotterdam ship's staterooms (1340 total) include 912 balconies (164 Suites and 748 Balcony staterooms), which means that 69% of all passenger accommodations are with a private step-out veranda.
